(ĐN)- To mark the 60th anniversary of the War Invalids, Martyrs Day (July 27), the Provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs in coordination with Dong Nai Radio and Television recently held a charity performance at the province’s Sporting Hall.
Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee said at the charity performance that thanks to the concern and support of the Party and the State as well as donations from local individuals and businesses, the living standard of families-beneficiaries of special policies in the province has been improved considerably over the past years. She also said that the provincial Fatherland Front Committee appeals for donations to help policy families in the province to have better living conditions. On this occasion, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded certificates of merit for 14 units for their active contributions to the paying the debt of gratitude movement during the past years.
At the charity performance, the organizing board received donations totaling over VND 2.6 billion from individuals and organizations inside and outside the province.
