(ĐN) – Dong Nai Newspaper carried out its charity activities for 2005 through offering 60,000 notebooks to outstanding poor pupils from primary and junior high schools in 11 districts and cities throughout the province. In addition, children enrolled in charity classes and rehabilitation Centers for Disable Children in the province will also receive notebooks from Dong Nai Newspaper.
Addressing at the ceremony of offering notebooks to pupils in Vinh Cuu district on October 5, Deputy Editor- in- chief of Dong Nai Newspaper Do Trung Tien said the program aimed to help pupils in remote areas have access to school. He unveiled that the newspaper’s goal for 2005 would present wheelchairs to disable children and bicycles to outstanding poor pupils.
The grants are funded through donations from Dong Nai Newspaper’s readers.
