The tibetan bear, weighing nearly 200 kg, had been bred as pet in a cage for over 20 years. The bear is reportedly in good health, and has been transferred to the Animal Rescue Center for being cared and habituated to natural environment.
This is the first time in Dong Nai province a resident has handed over a big bear with the aim to release the wild animal into the nature, contributing to protect the environment as well as preserve the rare animal which is listed in Group 1B in the Vietnam Red Book.
