The Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung agreed development planning policies of specialized Hi-BioTech Park in Dong Nai.
The Prime Minister assigned Ministry of Science and Technology coordinates with the ministries, concerned agencies to put Dong Nai High Tech Park and the draft Master Plan for development of high-tech parks to 2020 and orientations 2030, completing the prescribed procedures to approve the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.
Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology said, the agricultural production gradually develops in-depth, high yield, good quality, Provincial Committee and Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee have policies of establishment of Biotechnology Application Center with an area of 208 hectares for building the experimental model and transferring research results to farmers in the province.
So far, besides promoting investment in infrastructure construction and implementation of the experimental model of agricultural crops in high-biotech applications, the Center also promoted call for investment activities of enterprises in operation here. Currently, there are 9 active investment projects, in which 42 projects produced F1 vegetable seeds and provided 45 tons of vegetable seeds for the market; some other products have been transferring to farmers
In 2009, Dong Nai was agreed by the Prime Minister for the establishment of Dong Nai specialized high-biotech park based on development of Dong Nai Biotechnology Application Center.
