(ĐN)- Seven teams from Dong Nai-based Lac Hong University are competing at the final round of the 2014 Robocon Vietnam competition which kicked off in Khanh Hoa province’s Nha Trang city last night.
The seven-day competition attracts 32 teams who were picked from 161 representative teams from universities and colleges nationwide.
The university targets to set a new record by winning the fifth consecutive championship at the contest and represent Vietnam at the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2014 in India by August.
In addition, Lac Hong University also has its two robot items displayed at the Robocon Techshow 2014 exhibition which will be held on the occasion, aiming at encouraging students to apply their knowledge from Robocon competitions in the manufacture of high-tech and useful products for life.
Robocon 2014, the 13rd of its kind, is co-organised by the Toyota Motors Vietnam and Vietnam Television.
At the 2013 Robocon Vietnam, teams from Lac Hong university in Dong Nai province reaped all three top prizes.
The Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) is an Asian Oceanian College robot competition founded in 2002 by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.
To date, Vietnamese teams have won the championship three times; in 2002, 2004 and 2006.
