Its total revenue surpasses that of the Viet Nam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), totalling more than VND43.8 trillion (US$2.08 billion), and its total number of subscribers exceeds that of VNPT.

Viettel is estimated to gain a revenue of VND162.8 trillion ($7.7 billion), a 15.2 per cent increase compared with last year. Its profits before tax and earnings after tax are expected to be more than VND35 trillion ($1.6 billion) and VND26.4 trillion ($1.25 billion) respectively, a 27.5 per cent and 25.2 per cent rise respectively in comparison with 2012. The group is projected to contribute nearly VND13.6 trillion ($647.6 million) to the state budget this year.

Its total number of domestic subscribers is 54.25 million, of which 1.61 million were added in 2013. Viettel has 14.75 million international subscribers, of which nearly 3.09 million were added this year.

VNPT's total revenue in 2013 is estimated to reach VND119 trillion ($5.66 billion), and its total profits are projected to reach VND9.2 trillion ($438 million). It is estimated to contribute VND7.9 trillion ($376.1 million) to the state budget. The number of subscribers who left VNPT's network is higher than the number of its new subscribers, with 500,000 fixed-line subscribers and 10.8 million mobile phone users leaving the network.

Meanwhile, the Ha Noi Telecom Joint Stock Company is expected to earn a revenue of VND8.4 trillion ($400 million) and contribute VND159 billion ($7.5 million) to the state budget in 2013. The total number of its Vietnamobile subscribers reached 10 million this year.
