Cooperation agreement signed to strengthen management and development of internet resources in Dong Nai

On the afternoon of August 7, the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province and the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the Vietnam Internet Center, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, organized a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement to strengthen the management and development of internet resources in the province.

Attending the ceremony were Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province Pham Van Trinh, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the Vietnam Internet Center Do Quang Trung.

Regarding the content of cooperation, the two sides agreed to coordinate on 7 main contents. These include implementing activities to manage, inspect, and supervise the effective use of national internet resources (including “.vn” domain names, IP/ASN).

The cooperation agreement also aims to raise awareness among the community, people, businesses, and business households about the benefits and requirements for ensuring safety in registering and using national internet resources - especially the national domain name “.vn”, to serve online activities reliably and sustainably. At the same time, it aims to develop human resources and enhance management capacity through sharing experiences, information, data, providing solutions, and online tools to serve management, promote effective use of internet resources, and ensure internet resource safety…

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the Vietnam Internet Center Do Quang Trung shared: This signing not only marks the bond between the two units but also opens up a broad framework for cooperation, aiming for sustainable values in the management and development of local internet resources.

“We are committed to coordinating closely, responsibly, and flexibly with the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province to effectively implement the cooperation contents. This will contribute to improving the e-Business Index (EBI), digital transformation Index (DTI),  Global Innovation Index (GII), digital infrastructure development, digital transformation, digital economy, and digital society of Dong Nai province,” Do Quang Trung emphasized.

Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province Pham Van Trinh stated: In the coming time, the coordination between the two sides will continue to be strengthened, becoming more substantive, bringing concrete results, and making practical contributions to the goal of developing the digital economy and digital society of Dong Nai province.

"The Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province is committed to acting as a focal point for connection, accompanying the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the Vietnam Internet Center and relevant units to effectively implement cooperation contents, widely disseminating them to the community of people, businesses, business households, and agencies and organizations in the province," emphasized Pham Van Trinh, Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
