(ĐN)- Dong Nai has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japan’s Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU) on cooperation in promoting investment in the province.
Under the MoU, the two sides will exchange information and work together to organise seminars on investment in Dong Nai and meetings with potential investors in Japan.
Addressing at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Phan Thi My Thanh highly praised the role of the Japanese bank in providing financial and other assistance to foreign investors in general and Japanese businesses in particular in their operations in Vietnam and Dong Nai.
She also affirmed that Dong Nai is now one of the four leading provinces and cities in Vietnam in attracting investment.
The province is now home to over 18,700 businesses, including 1,365 foreign-invested enterprises with a total registered capital investment of more than US$23.6 billion.
Of which, there are 167 Japan’s projects worth US$3.1 billion, ranking fourth among 40 countries and territories having investment in Dong Nai
Speaking at ceremony, the bank’s director Go Wanatabe valued Dong Nai’s huge potential in economic development and attracting investment.
He also hoped that BTMU will continue its efforts to offer assistance for foreign investors as well as Japanese businesses to increase investment in Vietnam in general and in Dong Nai in particular.
