Joining forces to turn Dong Nai’s new development aspirations into reality

The special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign themed “Solidarity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthrough, building a civilized and modern Dong Nai,” launched by the Dong Nai City Party Committee (CPC)’s Executive Board, has received strong support from local residents and the business community.

In interviews with Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television, many residents and business representatives expressed confidence that with strong political determination, innovative thinking and decisive action, the city will enter a new phase of accelerated development, unlocking development resources, delivering tangible results and laying the foundation for rapid, sustainable growth while improving living standards.

Broad support for a major policy

Speaking at a recent conference to study, disseminate and launch the implementation of Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU dated May 1, 2026, issued by the CPC’s Executive Board on the special emulation campaign, Vu Hong Van, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the CPC and Head of the Dong Nai Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, emphasized that the establishment of Dong Nai City has opened a new chapter in the locality’s development while placing greater responsibilities on the entire political system.

According to Van, Dong Nai must fundamentally change the way it thinks, governs and organizes development. The city should operate according to higher standards of professionalism, modernization and efficiency, with all activities geared toward delivering tangible results and enhancing satisfaction among citizens and businesses.

“We are already seeing tangible improvements in our daily lives, from more convenient administrative procedures and a better living environment to public infrastructure projects being implemented on schedule. We hope that, in the coming time, strengthening the accountability of leaders and enhancing oversight will bring about substantive improvements in public service performance.”

That spirit is reflected throughout Resolution No. 05, which highlights key priorities including strengthening Party leadership; improving the effectiveness of government management and administration; enhancing the supervisory role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, increasing accountability among leaders, accelerating digital transformation and modernizing governance methods.

Notably, the resolution requires the entire political system to adopt the principle of “substantive, measurable, controllable and assessable” implementation, linking performance outcomes directly to individual responsibilities and work efficiency.

Beyond setting out broad orientations, the resolution establishes specific targets, including strengthening administrative discipline, accelerating administrative reform, promoting digital transformation in governance, building a proactive and responsible civil service, maintaining double-digit economic growth and raising satisfaction levels among citizens and businesses.

Expressing her support, Nguyen Thi Tram, a resident of Bau Ham Commune, said the public is most concerned about how these goals will translate into everyday benefits.

“Residents hope administrative procedures will be handled more quickly and efficiently, while officials become more responsive and accountable. When the city identifies public satisfaction as a key measure of success, we fully support it because that is what residents have wanted for a long time,” she said.

From the business perspective, Ngo Quang Chinh, Director of Quang An Technology Co., Ltd. in Tam Hiep ward, said Resolution No. 05 addresses many of the issues businesses care about most.

“Enterprises have always wanted a transparent investment environment and simple, efficient administrative procedures. By making administrative reform, digital transformation and business support key priorities, the city is demonstrating its commitment to accompanying enterprises throughout this new stage of development,” he said.

According to Chinh, once bottlenecks are removed and resources are unlocked, businesses will have greater opportunities to expand production, invest in new technologies and contribute more significantly to local economic growth.

Expectations for concrete results

One notable feature of the special emulation campaign is that it not only defines clear objectives but also establishes specific implementation mechanisms and solutions. The city will focus on seven key groups of tasks and solutions, including reforming leadership and governance methods, strengthening administrative discipline, accelerating administrative reform, speeding up digital transformation, improving oversight and social feedback mechanisms, empowering grassroots initiatives and unlocking development resources.

Addressing the conference, Vu Hong Van stressed that the next 500 days and nights will represent a period of acceleration and breakthrough while also serving as a test of leadership capacity, governance effectiveness and responsibility at every level of the political system.

The entire political system is required to implement the principle of “six clarities”: clear responsibilities, clear tasks, clear timelines, clear authority, clear accountability and clear outcomes.

At the same time, the city will implement the “three transparencies” approach by making public its objectives, implementation progress and outcomes so that citizens and businesses can monitor and supervise performance. The message that “commitments must be followed by action and action must deliver results” is expected to guide the implementation of the resolution throughout the campaign.

Based on these orientations, residents expect to see visible improvements in the near future. Vu Ngoc Phan, a resident of Bien Hoa ward, said the most important thing is for the city’s goals to be translated into concrete achievements.

Sharing expectations that the campaign will improve Dong Nai’s investment and business environment, Nguyen Nhu Son, Director of Anh Son Information Technology Trading and Services Co., Ltd. in Tran Bien ward, said: “When administrative procedures are processed more quickly, digital technologies are applied more widely and authorities work more closely with businesses, enterprises will have greater opportunities to expand investment and improve competitiveness. That is also how businesses can contribute to the city’s growth and overall development goals.”

Although 500 days and nights is not a long period of time, it is sufficient to generate meaningful change when supported by strong political determination and broad social consensus. With the momentum generated by the campaign launch and the determination of the entire political system, Dong Nai is entering a new phase of accelerated development with the expectation of delivering tangible results, building a dynamic, sustainable city worthy of its new role and position.
