Several days have passed, yet the resonance of the ceremony announcing the National Assembly’s Resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City continues to linger among local residents. It embodies the pride in the nearly 330-year historical and cultural legacy of the region, as well as in Dong Nai’s contributions to the southward expansion of the nation, the struggle for national independence and national development.

In particular, officials and civil servants are placing greater emphasis on the spirit of public service in order to create the most favorable conditions for residents and businesses.

Tran Ngoc Liem, Director of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI-HCM): Coordinating to improve the business environment

Dong Nai holds an important position on Vietnam’s economic map. For many years, it has ranked among the country’s leading localities in industrial development and industrial park concentration. Today, the city possesses a diversified infrastructure system, supported by projects of both regional and national significance.

According to representatives of international business organizations and major corporations, Dong Nai is considered one of the priority investment destinations in Vietnam. The city is generating strong momentum for domestic and foreign investment attraction, thereby contributing to Vietnam’s goal of achieving double-digit economic growth in the coming period.

In the country’s growth strategy, the private sector has been identified as a key driver, with an expected growth target of 12-14%. Against this backdrop, VCCI-HCM, as the representative body of the regional business community, will work closely with Dong Nai City authorities, departments, agencies and local business associations to improve the Provincial Competitiveness Index and other component indicators. At the same time, the organization stands ready to serve as a bridge between Vietnamese enterprises and international investors, while promoting trade and investment activities and creating direct linkages between local businesses, export markets and strategic partners.

Nguyen Kim Oanh, Deputy Director of Tran Bien ward Public Administrative Service Center: Making public satisfaction the benchmark for service quality

I am proud and pleased that Dong Nai has successfully held the ceremony announcing the National Assembly’s Resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City. This marks a particularly significant milestone, opening a new stage of development accompanied by high expectations for a modern, civilized urban landscape and improved living standards for residents.

I hope that in the coming period, residents will receive timely and comprehensive social welfare benefits commensurate with Dong Nai’s new role and standing. Likewise, officials, civil servants and public employees should receive salary and allowance policies better aligned with current workloads and job requirements.

Meanwhile, transport infrastructure and road networks should continue to receive synchronized investment upgrades to facilitate travel, daily life and economic activities, thereby contributing to improved living standards.

For Tran Bien ward Public Administrative Service Center, we remain committed to reforming and improving the handling of administrative procedures in a faster, more transparent and more efficient manner, taking the satisfaction of residents and businesses as the measure of service quality, contributing to the building of a professional, modern administration that increasingly meets the needs of residents and enterprises.

Ho Thi Huong, worker at TKG Taekwang Vina JSC in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park (IP): Hoping for steadily improving living standards for workers

I am very pleased and excited that Dong Nai has successfully organized the ceremony announcing the National Assembly’s Resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City. As a factory worker employed in an industrial park, I see this as an important milestone that opens up broader development opportunities for workers and local residents alike.

I hope transport infrastructure will continue to be upgraded in a more coordinated manner so that workers can commute more conveniently and safely while easing traffic congestion during peak hours. In addition, I expect greater attention to social welfare policies, housing, healthcare and educational facilities for workers’ children so that employees can feel secure in maintaining long-term commitments to both enterprises and the locality.

I also hope that, alongside the city’s development, there will be more stable employment opportunities, better working environments and steadily improving incomes for workers.

Phan Thi Thu Thuy, Trang Dai ward’s resident: Greater investment in education is needed

With rapid urbanization and strong migrant-driven population growth over many years, Trang Dai Ward is facing considerable pressure on transport infrastructure, schools and public services. Therefore, residents hope the locality will receive stronger investment priority during the new development phase.

Among the pressing issues is traffic congestion along routes such as Dong Khoi, Bui Trong Nghia and Nguyen Phuc Chu streets, as well as frequent bottlenecks on internal roads during rush hours.

In addition, pressure on the education system remains a major concern for residents. Due to rapid population growth, many schools in the area remain overcrowded, with large class sizes and mounting pressure on educational facilities. Local people hope authorities will soon invest in additional public schools from preschool to high school level so that children can enjoy better learning conditions.

Le Tai, Tam Hiep ward’s resident: Balancing urbanization and environmental protection

Dong Nai occupies a strategic position as a gateway connecting the Southern Key Economic Region, while also possessing major advantages in industry, logistics and transport infrastructure. Therefore, its elevation to city status is widely viewed as a development step aligned with its current growth trajectory.

In the new phase, the locality is expected to continue accelerating investment in transport connectivity to ease congestion in densely populated areas, while simultaneously improving the quality of public administrative services in a more modern, streamlined and convenient direction.

Alongside economic development, I also hope Dong Nai will place stronger emphasis on balancing urbanization with environmental protection in order to build an increasingly high-quality living environment.

Residents want to grow alongside the locality so that Dong Nai will not only achieve stronger economic growth but also become a truly livable city.
