Over the past period, residents of Dong Nai have closely followed information related to the establishment of Dong Nai City, from the National Assembly’s discussions and voting process to the adoption, enactment, and announcement of the resolution. During this time, Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television received many heartfelt opinions from provincial leaders (now city leaders), heads of departments, sectors, and localities; experts; the business community; and people from all walks of life regarding this important event.

For nearly two months, the special page on the establishment of Dong Nai City has continued to attract the attention of readers both inside and outside the city.

Pham Van Trinh, City Party Committee Member and Director of the Department of Science and Technology:

Focusing on attracting and developing high-quality human resources in science and technology sector

To realize the pillars of digital government, digital economy, digital society, and smart urban development, human resources and connectivity play key roles. The Dong Nai science and technology sector will implement strategic plans, including the development of a research ecosystem based on the triple helix model. Accordingly, Dong Nai will strongly promote cooperation among the State – educational institutions and scientists – businesses to establish a closed value chain from research and development to commercialization.

Dong Nai will implement specialized human resource training programs to serve the semiconductor, microchip, and artificial intelligence industries, meeting the development requirements of the Long Thanh Digital Technology Park. At the same time, the city will introduce attractive scholarship policies to encourage talented students to pursue key engineering and technology disciplines. Regarding policies to attract experts and scientists, Dong Nai will promulgate specific mechanisms and open, preferential policies to attract domestic and international talent, as well as leading experts, to work and contribute to Dong Nai.

Pham Xuan Thach, Director of the Public Administrative Service Center of Thuan Loi commune:

Striving to enhance satisfaction among residents and businesses

The commune consistently upholds a strong sense of responsibility in administrative reform efforts to enhance satisfaction among residents and businesses. This contributes to the realization of local socio-economic development goals, particularly in the new development context as Dong Nai becomes Vietnam’s seventh city.

The Public Administrative Service Center of Thuan Loi commune will continue making efforts and clearly defining specific working methods to improve the effectiveness of handling administrative procedures, successfully accomplish all assigned tasks, and enhance satisfaction among residents and businesses. In the coming time, the center will continue coordinating with agencies, organizations, and sectors throughout the political system to establish working groups or assign specialized personnel to support and guide residents, particularly the elderly and residents in remote areas, in accessing and using essential digital services.

Nguyen Hoang Dat, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Cashew Association:
Opportunities to further expand the reach of Dong Nai’s cashew industry image

I am truly moved and proud to witness Dong Nai City’s strong development and its modernization and dynamism each day.

This is not only an important administrative milestone but also opens up significant opportunities for the local business community in attracting investment, expanding infrastructure, and enhancing competitiveness.

Dong Nai is recognized as the country’s cashew capital, with export volume consistently accounting for around 50% of the nation’s total cashew exports. This is an opportune time for businesses to boldly innovate technology, improve product quality, strengthen brand building, and move toward deep processing, green growth, and sustainability. I believe that with the support of authorities at all levels, along with the solidarity and creativity of the Dong Nai business community, enterprises will continue making positive contributions to the city’s socio-economic development.

I will continue working closely with the Dong Nai Cashew Association to strengthen business connectivity, support member enterprises, and further promote the image of Dong Nai’s cashew industry in both domestic and international markets.

Truong Dinh Khanh, a resident of Hang Gon ward:

Building a community-based tourism product chain with its own identity

Dong Nai City is facing major opportunities with numerous advantages for development. In particular, the development of eco-garden tourism and community-based tourism is considered one of the key advantages contributing to improving people’s quality of life and creating additional markets for local agricultural products.

I hope the city will introduce orientations, support mechanisms, and specific policies to develop eco-garden tourism and community-based tourism in areas across Dong Nai, thereby creating strategic tourism products for the city. At the same time, favorable conditions should be created for destinations such as Hang Gon to participate in the city’s overall tourism ecosystem.

Dong Nai City is oriented toward building a tourism ecosystem associated with Long Thanh International Airport. To achieve this goal, I hope the city will introduce appropriate mechanisms, clear roadmaps, and a coordinating body to connect and support localities in developing tourism products and routes, ensuring close coordination and creating professional tourism products that reflect local identity.

Currently, the city possesses abundant tourism resources, including garden tourism, community-based destinations, traditional craft villages, cuisine, historical relics, and households engaged in tourism activities. Therefore, effective solutions are needed to synchronously integrate these resources into a unified tourism ecosystem, promoting close linkages among authorities, businesses, residents, and travel agencies to create a value chain and a distinctive identity for Dong Nai tourism.

Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, a resident of Ninh Thuan neighborhood, Loc Ninh ward:

Expecting social welfare policies to continue accompanying the residents

Over the past period, leaders at all levels in Dong Nai have paid close attention to effectively implementing policy credit programs, creating favorable conditions for people to access preferential loans for production and business development. As a result, many households have gained opportunities to invest in livelihoods, gradually stabilize their lives, and rise out of poverty.

This is a highly practical program that brings direct benefits to many people. Therefore, as Dong Nai becomes the country’s seventh city, we hope that policy credit programs will continue to be maintained and expanded, thereby providing greater support for disadvantaged people, helping them develop household economies, improve their living conditions, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous city.

In addition, farmers hope that authorities at all levels will continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for them to visit and learn from highly effective agricultural production models. At the same time, they expect more training courses to improve knowledge and skills in cultivation and animal husbandry so that such knowledge can be effectively applied to their households’ practical conditions.

Bui Thi Dung, Party Cell Secretary and Head of Trung Tam neighborhood, Xuan Lap ward:

Promoting existing potential

As residents of Xuan Lap ward, we are very proud that Dong Nai has become the country’s seventh city. This is an important milestone that opens up many opportunities for the city to continue developing more comprehensively in the coming time.

We hope that Dong Nai will continue to effectively promote its existing potential and advantages, particularly in developing industry, green tourism, and agriculture in a sustainable and modern direction, while accelerating the application of science and technology in production to enhance product value and economic efficiency.

At the same time, residents hope that infrastructure systems, including transportation, electricity, roads, schools, and healthcare facilities, will continue to receive synchronized and methodical investment to meet the development requirements of a new urban area. This will help improve people’s quality of life and contribute to building Dong Nai into an increasingly civilized, modern, and livable city.
