On the morning of May 27, the Dong Nai City Party Committee organized a conference to review the work of developing projects and the ceremony to announce the National Assembly's resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City.

Attending the conference were Ton Ngoc Hanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the City People's Council; Nguyen Van Ut, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Organization Commission; Nguyen Kim Long, Member of the Standing Board of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee. The event was also attended by members of the Standing Board of the City Party Committee, representatives of the leadership of the City Party Committee's Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Commission, and departments, agencies, and sectors of the city.
Presenting the review report at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long emphasized that the establishment of Dong Nai City marks an especially important milestone in the locality’s development journey. He said the achievement reflected careful preparation, focused leadership and direction from the Party Committee, synchronized participation across the political system, especially the role of the head of the City Party Committee, and the great consensus and support from cadres, party members, and people from all walks of life.

The process of developing the Project on the establishment of Dong Nai City and the Project on the establishment of 10 wards was implemented urgently, proactively, and decisively. The projects have received great attention and support from the Politburo, the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, and ministries and Central agencies.
Regarding the organization of the ceremony to announce the National Assembly's Resolution and receive the First-class Labor Order, the leader of the City People's Committee emphasized that the preparation work was carried out urgently, methodically, and solemnly. In particular, the event was honored to welcome Party General Secretary, State President To Lam and many leaders of Central government, ministries, departments, and agencies; leaders of other provinces and cities and international organizations in Vietnam. In addition, logistics, health, security and order, fire prevention and fighting, and traffic regulation were absolutely ensured by the City Police.
Following the removal of district-level administrative units, propaganda work has been carried out directly and synchronously across all 95 communes and wards and has spread strongly, creating a sense of excitement and pride among all cadres, party members, and people. Along with that, urban embellishment has contributed to bringing a spacious and civilized appearance to Dong Nai as the locality marked its historical milestone.

The leader of the City People's Committee acknowledged that despite the tight timeframe, mounting workload, and complex weather developments, the series of events was successfully held thanks to the decisive direction of the Standing members of the City Party Committee, the efforts of the City People's Committee, and the close coordination among departments, sectors, and localities. Through this, the city has drawn many important lessons to confidently organize large-scale events in the future.
The event of establishing Dong Nai City is a great pride of the entire Party Committee, government, and people. The key task in the coming time is to turn pride into practical action. The City People's Committee fully absorbs the directing opinions, closely follows the leadership of the City Party Committee, and acts decisively with the motto of matching words with deeds. The entire political system cherishes the current achievements to continue to unite, dedicate, and strive to build Dong Nai into a fast, sustainable, civilized, and modern city.

Delivering a directive speech at the conference, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the City People's Council Ton Ngoc Hanh emphasized that being recognized as a city is the result of the persistent efforts of the entire political system of Dong Nai. In particular, the process from drafting the project to preparing for the ceremony organization was carried out meticulously, thoroughly, and scientifically; each agency, unit, and individual assigned tasks demonstrated a very high sense of responsibility. Becoming a city is an important foundation, a source of confidence, and a driving force for Dong Nai to continue to make breakthroughs in the coming time.
Ton Ngoc Hanh noted that the road ahead requires the entire political system to make even greater efforts for the city to develop rapidly and sustainably, with the focus on effectively implementing the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign with the theme "Unity - Discipline - Efficiency - Breakthrough" officially launched by the City Party Committee on May 26.
To ensure the sustainable development of Dong Nai city, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee proposed good preparation for the one-year preliminary review of the two-tier local government model (city level and commune/ward level); comprehensively evaluating personnel work based on clear criteria frameworks. From there, developing training and fostering plans to meet the requirements of urban governance in the new development context with a long-term vision.
To achieve the goal of double-digit economic growth in 2026 as committed to the Central Government when submitting the Project on the establishment of Dong Nai city, Ton Ngoc Hanh requested the consensus and determination of the entire political system, including cadres, party members, business community, and people from all social strata, to build Dong Nai into a civilized - modern - happy city.
