Dong Nai introduces many effective initiatives

Following administrative restructuring, Dong Nai has become a large province in both area and population, with a wide administrative territory and a concentration of various ethnic and religious communities, numerous industrial parks, and a large migrant workforce. These characteristics place higher demands on election organization, requiring careful leadership and thorough preparation to ensure the election is conducted safely and in accordance with regulations. In response, the province has proactively implemented a wide range of preparatory measures.

According to a report from the Provincial Election Committee, preparations for the election have been carried out proactively from the provincial to grassroots levels, ensuring compliance with the planned timeline. So far, localities have organized trial runs of election procedures to ensure that all stages are conducted smoothly and to avoid confusion during official implementation.

Propaganda activities have been strengthened through diverse forms. The province is entering the peak period of voter meetings and campaign activities; in addition to direct meetings, online sessions are also organized and broadcast on television. At the same time, information technology applications have been expanded to extend propaganda to ethnic minority and religious communities.

In addition, to ensure strict implementation, the province has established several inspection and supervision teams to work with localities. Following the announcement of the candidates, only one petition has been recorded so far. Facilities and conditions serving voters have also been carefully prepared. In densely populated areas, local authorities have calculated the placement of additional ballot boxes to facilitate voting and vote counting; personnel involved in election work are also carefully reviewed to avoid potential relationships with candidates. Moreover, the province has issued documents requesting enterprises to create favorable conditions for workers to participate in voting. Mobile ballot boxes will also be arranged for voters with specific working conditions or those facing difficulties in traveling to polling stations.

The Provincial Election Committee has also instructed the Department of Home Affairs, the standing body of the committee, to regularly review and exchange information with commune-level Election Committees in order to promptly identify difficulties and obstacles, while coordinating with relevant agencies to guide and resolve issues for localities. Professional training has also been strengthened for members of commune-level Election Committees and election teams across 95 communes and wards.

Ensuring a lawful, safe, democratic election with the best possible results

Delivering his directive remarks at the meeting, Politburo member, NA Chairman and Chairman of the National Election Council Tran Thanh Man stated that after administrative restructuring, Dong Nai possesses many potentials and advantages for comprehensive development in economy, culture, society, national defense and security, opening up ample room for development in the coming period. Highlighting several outstanding achievements in the province’s socio-economic development in 2025, particularly economic growth, state budget revenue and export turnover, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man acknowledged and commended Dong Nai’s important contributions to regional growth and to the country’s overall development targets.

Regarding election preparations, based on reports presented at the meeting and an on-site inspection at Polling Station No. 17 in Tan Trieu ward, the NA Chairman said that Dong Nai has proactively and seriously implemented tasks in accordance with legal regulations and guidance from central authorities, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and close coordination among agencies. Notably, the province has introduced several effective initiatives, particularly the organization of election drills, which could serve as a model for other localities.

Emphasizing that the election is an important political event for the entire Party, armed forces and people, aimed at selecting truly qualified and exemplary representatives for the new term, while preparation time is running short, the NA Chairman requested the province to continue thoroughly implementing Directive No. 46-CT/TW and Conclusion No. 03-KL/TW, while effectively carrying out Official Dispatch No. 163/HDBCQG on further leadership and direction of election work. These efforts aim to strengthen the Party’s comprehensive leadership, maintain unity across the political system and ensure the successful organization of the election, with the correct number and structure of deputies in line with central orientations.

Meanwhile, the province should further enhance propaganda tailored to specific localities and target groups, promoting the role of religious dignitaries in areas with large numbers of followers as well as village elders and reputable individuals in ethnic minority communities. As a locality with numerous industrial parks and a large migrant workforce, Dong Nai should also strengthen coordination with enterprises and boarding house owners to facilitate workers’ participation in voting, while carefully reviewing voter lists to ensure no eligible voter is overlooked.

The NA Chairman also requested the province to stay close to grassroots areas, proactively monitor the situation and promptly handle emerging issues; implement the motto “go to every alley, knock from door to door, meet every citizen” in voter communication and mobilization efforts. At the same time, greater application of information technology and digital transformation should be promoted in election work, while polling stations—particularly those in remote areas—should be carefully prepared and properly decorated.

The top legislator further asked candidates to strictly comply with regulations on voter meetings, combining both direct and online formats, demonstrating closeness to the people, attentively listening to voters’ concerns and aspirations, and avoiding superficial or formalistic engagement.

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his expectation that Dong Nai will continue to uphold its proactive spirit, make thorough preparations and successfully organize the election so that election day truly becomes a festival of the entire people.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Election Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Vu Hong Van expressed sincere thanks and fully acknowledged the guidance provided by the NA Chairman and members of the delegation. He affirmed that these are important orientations for the province to continue directing and organizing the election in accordance with the law, ensuring democracy, objectivity, safety and success.

The Provincial Party Secretary also outlined five key tasks that the province will focus on implementing. Accordingly, Dong Nai identifies election organization as a particularly important political task and a top priority. In the coming time, the province will continue to strengthen the direct and comprehensive leadership of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, promote the roles and responsibilities of Election Committees at all levels, and mobilize the entire political system to ensure that all procedures and timelines are implemented in full accordance with legal regulations and central directives.

The Provincial Party Secretary Vu Hong Van emphasized that the conclusions of the NA Chairman are both a directive and a source of encouragement, reflecting trust in the Party Organization, authorities and people of Dong Nai. The province is determined to successfully organize the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term, ensuring legality, safety, democracy and the best possible results.
