Dong Nai leaders pay tribute at Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery

On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – 2026) and in preparation for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, on February 12 (the 25th day of the 12th lunar month), a delegation of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee (PPC), People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee, along with representatives of the armed forces of Military Region 7, led by Vu Hong Van, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the PPC and Head of the Dong Nai Delegation of NA deputies, paid tribute and offered incense at the Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery in Long Binh ward.

Attending the ceremony were Ton Ngoc Hanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Van Ut, Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the PPC; Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairwoman of the Provincial VFF Committee; Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Head of the PPC’s Organization Commission; Nguyen Kim Long, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; along with members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, representatives of departments, agencies and mass organizations, the armed forces of Military Region 7, and representatives of Party committees, authorities and people of wards and communes.

In a solemn atmosphere, the ceremonial team of the Provincial Military Command respectfully laid wreaths before the Fatherland Acknowledges the Merit (To quoc ghi cong)  Monument. The wreaths of the PPC– People’s Council – People’s Committee – VFF Committee, the armed forces of Military Region 7, and wards and communes bore the inscription: “Forever remembering the great sacrifices of heroic martyrs.”

Subsequently, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the PPC and Head of the Dong Nai Delegation of NA deputies Vu Hong Van respectfully offered flowers and incense, commencing the tribute ceremony amid the resounding of bells and drums imbued with sacred and heroic spirit.

In the proud atmosphere marking the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, following the great success of the 14th National Party Congress and as the country prepares to enter the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, comrade Vu Hong Van and delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives for the cause of national independence, freedom, peace and reunification of Vietnam.

Before the spirits of President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs, the Party organization, authorities and people of Dong Nai province, together with the armed forces of Military Region 7, pledged to remain united and strive to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the first Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term, with determination to build Dong Nai into an increasingly prosperous, civilized, modern and thriving province.

Immediately after the flower- and incense-offering ceremony at the Fatherland Acknowledges the Merit Monument, provincial leaders and delegates proceeded to lay flowers and light incense at the graves of martyrs resting at the Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery.

Also on the morning of February 12, a delegation of the PPC– People’s Council – People’s Committee – VFF Committee led by Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the PPC and Head of the Dong Nai Delegation of NA deputies Vu Hong Van offered incense at the Southeastern Region Martyrs’ Temple in Tan An commune. Meanwhile, another delegation led by Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council Ton Ngoc Hanh offered incense at the relic sites of the Central Office for South Vietnam Base and the Southeast Regional Party Committee Base in Phu Ly commune.
