Realizing the aspiration for building a strong and prosperous nation

The Congress not only conducted a profound review of practical realities and reaffirmed the great achievements of historic significance attained after 40 years of Doi moi (Renewal), but also established a strategic vision and powerfully inspired the aspiration to build a strong and prosperous nation of the Vietnamese people. Within this common momentum, the Party Organization, government and people of Dong Nai have further strengthened their confidence, unity of will, and unity of action, and are determined to concretize the goals and orientations set forth by the 14th Congress into steady steps, in line with the role, position, and responsibilities of a key growth-driving locality in the Southern Key Economic Region.

A new milestone on the nation’s development journey

The 14th Party Congress was held amid continued complex and unpredictable global and regional developments, with intertwined opportunities and challenges. Domestically, after years of severe impacts from the Covid-19 pandemic, prolonged natural disasters, and internal economic difficulties, our country has gradually recovered and resumed development, maintaining political and social stability, safeguarding national defense and security, and enhancing its position and prestige on the international stage. On this foundation, the 14th Congress clearly demonstrated the Party’s resolve, intellect, and strategic vision by identifying long-term development goals and strategic breakthroughs aimed at guiding the country into a new phase of development that is higher in quality and more sustainable.

The consistent spirit of the Congress is to remain steadfast on the path toward socialism; place people at the center, as the subject, the objective, and the driving force of development; vigorously promote internal strengths while effectively mobilizing external resources; build a clean, strong, and comprehensive Party and political system; and inspire the aspiration for a strong nation closely associated with the spirit of national self-reliance. These major orientations serve not only as guiding principles for the entire country, but also as a foundation for each locality to reflect upon and creatively apply them to its own development practice.

The aspiration for a strong and prosperous nation – a new driving force for action

The aspiration for a strong and prosperous nation emphasized by the 14th Congress is not an abstract notion; rather, it represents the crystallization of the will, confidence, and responsibility of the entire political system and of the whole society. It embodies the aspiration for a country that develops rapidly and sustainably, possesses an independent and self-reliant economy that is deeply integrated into the international community; ensures that people enjoy increasingly prosperous and happy lives; nurtures an advanced culture imbued with strong national identity; maintains firm national defense and security; and steadily enhances its standing on the international stage.

To realize this aspiration, the 14th Congress sets very high requirements for Party committees, government, and each cadre and Party member to translate thinking into action and transform political determination into concrete, measurable results. Localities, especially provinces and cities serving as growth drivers, must take the lead in renewing growth models, improving governance quality, developing human resources, accelerating digital transformation, promoting green and circular economic models, and closely linking economic growth with social progress and equity.

Dong Nai possesses many advantages to make substantial contributions to the country’s overall development objectives. In recent years, under the leadership of the provincial Party Organization, Dong Nai has achieved numerous important and relatively comprehensive results across various fields. Economic growth has been maintained at a fairly high rate; industry has continued to serve as a core pillar; the investment and business environment has improved markedly; infrastructure, particularly transport infrastructure, has recorded significant breakthroughs; political security and social order and safety have been ensured; and the material and spiritual lives of the people have steadily improved. In this context, the success of the 14th Congress has further reinforced confidence and generated new momentum for Dong Nai to continue making breakthroughs. The Congress’s major orientations provide an important basis for the province to review, adjust, and refine its development programs and plans, ensuring close alignment with central requirements while remaining appropriate to local conditions and realities.

Dong Nai realizes the aspiration for a strong and prosperous nation

Thoroughly grasping the spirit of the 14th Party Congress immediately following its success, Dong Nai needs to focus on fully leveraging its comparative advantages, particularly in geographic location, industrial infrastructure, and human resources, to become an important growth pole for the region and the country. Alongside developing industry in a modern, high-tech direction, the province places emphasis on restructuring agriculture in association with advanced new-style rural development and model new-style rural areas; expanding trade, services, and logistics; and accelerating digital transformation in state management, production and business activities, and all aspects of social life. Recognizing that investment in people is investment in sustainable development, continued attention must be given to education and training, healthcare, and cultural and social development, with the aim of continuously improving people’s quality of life. At the same time, the province attaches importance to ensuring social welfare and caring for policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious service, and vulnerable groups, so that no one is left behind in the development process.

In the new context, as strategic infrastructure is gradually completed and development space is expanded, Dong Nai faces both greater opportunities and greater responsibilities to affirm its role as a growth-driving locality of the Southern Key Economic Region. This requires Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue renewing their thinking and to act with greater determination in leadership and governance. Each cadre and Party member must truly set an example, demonstrating dedication, full commitment, and devotion, taking work effectiveness and public satisfaction as the goals and driving forces for action, ensuring that words are matched by deeds, strictly in line with the directive of Party General Secretary To Lam at the Congress: “Saying must go hand in hand with doing, doing immediately, doing correctly, doing decisively, doing to the end, and doing effectively”. Every citizen and enterprise must likewise unite and work together toward the common development objective.

Confidence and determination from the grassroots

The success of the 14th Congress has spread widely among cadres, Party members, and people from all social strata in Dong Nai, fostering an atmosphere of optimism, confidence, and expectation.
