Commending 156 exemplary learning models in Dong Nai province

On the morning of January 29, the Dong Nai provincial Association for Promoting Education held its second Executive Committee meeting to review activities in 2025 and set directions for 2026. The conference also honored exemplary learning models in Dong Nai province for the 2021–2025 period.

Attending the conference were Le Thi Thai, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, together with representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, units, the provincial Association for Promoting Education, and localities.

Following the administrative merger, the Dong Nai provincial Association for Promoting Education has more than 1 million members, accounting for 22.6 percent of the population. As of January 20, 2026, 77 out of 95 communes and wards across the province had completed the consolidation of commune-level associations for promoting education, and 4 communes had held congresses.

In 2025, the provincial Fund for Promoting Education mobilized more than 35.8 billion VND to grant over 12 thousand scholarships to students with a total amount of nearly 12.5 billion VND; granted 368 scholarships to university students with an amount of over 727 million VND; commended more than 1 thousand teachers, and supported learning tools for nearly 62 thousand students.

In particular, implementing the Scheme on building a learning society for the 2021-2025 period, the whole province had 781,619/1,047,935 learning families; 335/364 learning clans; 1,666/1,759 learning communities; 1,678/1,753 learning units; and 887,364/2,059,694 learning citizens. The targets of the Dong Nai provincial learning model have been met and exceeded those set by the Central level.

At the conference, delegates discussed the implementation of education promotion efforts in localities, shared opinions, and proposed directions for activities based on grassroots practice. The Dong Nai provincial Association for Promoting Education launched the 2026 emulation movement for education and talent promotion, and also signed emulation commitments among clusters under the provincial Association for Promoting Education.

On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to 15 collectives, 20 households, and 15 individuals; the Dong Nai provincial Association for Promoting Education commended 72 collectives and 34 individuals that are exemplary learning models with outstanding achievements in the 2021-2025 period.
