On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, on the afternoon of January 29, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut led a working delegation representing the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), the People’s Council, the People’s Committee and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee to visit, present gifts and extend Tet greetings to Vietnamese heroic mother across the province.

Joining the working delegation were Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee; Senior Colonel Bui Van Sy, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; Senior Colonel Tran Anh Son, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Public Security; Doan Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs; along with other representatives.

Under the program, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, including Tran Thi Ngoc Anh, 99, residing in Dau Giay commune. Her husband, martyr Nguyen Ba, and her son, martyr Nguyen Thieu, heroically sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists for national salvation. The delegation also visited Vietnamese heroic mother Nguyen Thi Mao (also known as Nguyen Thi Ba), 102, residing in Hung Thinh commune, whose two children, martyrs Pham Van Den and Pham Thi My, also sacrificed their lives during the same resistance war.
The delegation further visited Vietnamese heroic mother Le Thi Co, 97, residing in Trang Bom commune, whose husband, martyr Luc Van Don, and two children, martyrs Luc Van Quan and Luc Thi Van, laid down their lives for the nation.

At each stop during the visit, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut and the working delegation expressed profound gratitude to the Vietnamese heroic mothers, affirming that the heroic sacrifices of the martyrs made an immense contribution to the cause of safeguarding national independence and peace, as well as ensuring the happiness of the people. The Party, the State and the people always cherish and honor these great sacrifices.
On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee wished the Vietnamese heroic mothers continued good health, longevity and happiness, and expressed hope that they would remain shining role models in educating their children, grandchildren and younger generations in today’s cause of national construction and defense.
