The Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has performed its role well and has been trusted by the people to represent them in exercising their right to mastery.

Where people place their trust

Every year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) at all levels and its member organizations in the province launch many social welfare programs to support the community such as: Action Month for the Poor, contributing to the Fund for the Poor; the Gratitude Movement; Each individual associated with a humanitarian address; the Movement to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses; scholarships for students in challenging circumstances… Although many resources are mobilized to implement these programs, in each call for donations, the VFF at all levels and its member organizations in the province always receive the cooperation of individuals, agencies, units, and businesses. As a result, in the 2024-2025 period, the VFF at all levels in the province mobilized and received 1.3 trillion VND to organize social welfare activities.

According to Nguyen Tan Phu, Vice Chairman of the VFF Committee of the province, the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations consistently ensure that all received resources are directed toward supporting those in need. They are committed to and guarantee that resources reach the intended beneficiaries and are used for their stated purposes. At the same time, the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations actively encourage sponsors and partners to participate and witness the organized activities. This endeavor aims to create conditions that enable sponsors to directly monitor the use of resources, thereby allowing them to see the meaningful impact their contributions have on the community.

Whenever new policies are developed, when people reflect on problems arising in life, the VFF at all levels actively listens and conveys them to the competent authorities. At the same time, the VFF at all levels has organized over 1,900 supervision and social criticism sessions to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

According to Meritorious Teacher and Vice Rector of Lac Hong University Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, through the coordination of the Provincial VFF, she and the university provided funding for a computer lab at a school in the border commune of Tan Tien. She was invited to witness firsthand how the university’s contribution supported local teaching and learning. As a result, Lac Hong University has committed to mobilizing additional resources, in coordination with the Provincial VFF, to provide further support for education in border communes and other disadvantaged areas across the province.

In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations have actively promoted people-to-people diplomacy to mobilize foreign non-governmental resources, affirming their role as a bridge between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland.

In emergencies, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations have proactively mobilized support, receiving a strong public response that has enabled these resources to be used not only locally but also extended to other provinces and cities nationwide. This effort contributes to building the image of compassionate Dong Nai people, who accompany the nation in caring for those experiencing poverty and ensuring that no one is left behind.

For instance, in just 28 days (from October 3 to 31), the Provincial Fatherland Front received approximately 70 billion VND in contributions from individuals and organizations in response to a call for support in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Enhancing the role of connecting people

To continue affirming its role as a trusted institution of the people, for the 2025–2030 term, the Provincial Fatherland Front has set forth the following orientations: strengthening the political core role and responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in building the great national unity bloc, fostering social consensus, and enormously inspiring patriotism, national pride, faith, and aspiration as the country enters a new era, a period of national advancement.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to renew its content and methods of operation to embody a political alliance and voluntary union that truly and effectively serves as a bridge between the Party, the State, and the people; practice democracy and fulfill its role in representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people. Efforts will also focus on building and consolidating the Vietnam Fatherland Front system with greater emphasis on grassroots-level activities.

The orientations set by the Provincial Fatherland Front for the 2025–2030 term align with the legitimate aspirations of all segments of the population. In response, the people have expressed their trust and expectations that the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province will continue to serve as a trusted representative in upholding the people’s right to mastery.

According to Bui Quang Huy, former Vice Chairman of the old Dong Nai Provincial Committee of the VFF, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, 2025–2030 term for the 2025–2030 term holds special significance, as it affirms the Front’s role in the broader current of the times, nationally and provincially, following the administrative boundary rearrangement and the implementation of a two-tier local government.

Despite the province’s large area and dense population, he expressed strong confidence and expectation that in the new term, whenever people face natural disasters, epidemics, or sudden hardships, the Fatherland Front will be there to provide support. When people need their legitimate rights protected, the Front will step forward to represent them and act as a bridge to help resolve concerns through supervision and social criticism.

Meanwhile, Do Ho Sen, a reputable figure among the Cham ethnic community in Long Thanh commune, shared that throughout the process of building their economic livelihoods, the Fatherland Front has consistently shown care and acted as a connector by mobilizing resources to support people in production, building solid homes, constructing roads in residential areas, and assisting children with their education. He and the local people hope that the Fatherland Front at all levels will continue to fulfill its role in connecting the community to join hands in building new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas, thereby ensuring a better life for all.

The 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, 2025–2030 term, was attended by 346 official delegates. During the program, the congress will adopt the direction, objectives, and action program for the new term, and carry out personnel work.

According to Tran Thi Toa, former Vice Chairwoman of the old Binh Phuoc Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has actively fulfilled its bridging role in organizing social welfare activities and connecting ethnic and religious communities to join hands in building the homeland. However, communication efforts to ensure public access to information have at times been limited.

Therefore, she hopes that the Fatherland Front at all levels will promptly develop an electronic information portal and foster a dynamic presence in cyberspace to timely disseminate information about cases in need of support and methods of contribution, so that people have a trusted platform on which to contribute. At the same time, the portal should help widely communicate information about the Front’s activities and the implementation of the Patriotic Emulation Movement to the public.

In addition, according to Nguyen Tan Hung, Chairman of the Long Thanh Commune Committee of the VFF, the Long Thanh International Airport Project is considered a strategic driving force for socio-economic development in Dong Nai, aiming to make Long Thanh a central urban area. He hopes that with its core role in promoting the strength of national unity, creating consensus, and mobilizing all social resources, the Dong Nai Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, together with the entire political system of the province, will soon make Long Thanh commune basically a central urban area of the province.
