Party General Secretary To Lam requested: Long Thanh Airport is not only an airport but also a key driving force for the socio-economic development of the country, especially the key economic region in the South. To effectively promote the role of Long Thanh Airport, all levels and sectors need to clearly define some new orientations and key tasks to be implemented, including: assessing national competitiveness; investment efficiency and project management; synchronous development of regional connectivity, and a new aviation ecosystem around the airport. Ministries, sectors, and investors should coordinate to build a set of criteria to evaluate the international competitiveness of Long Thanh Airport.
