Along with commending and highly appreciating the accomplishments achieved in recent years, and expressing agreement with the orientations and tasks set for the 2025-2030 term, leaders of the VWU Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee also offered strategic guidance, outlining key priorities that the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union should focus on in the upcoming term.

Women’s unions at all levels must truly be a source of support and a safe home for women

Nguyen Thi Tuyen emphasized that Dong Nai is entering a period of new opportunities, with substantial potential and ample room to accelerate growth, expand cross-border trade, services, and investment, and become a modern hub for industry, agricultural logistics, and tourism. In this context, the women’s unions across the province must continue to strive, innovate, and break through even more strongly, contributing to the successful implementation of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress’s Resolution for the 2025-2030 term, building Dong Nai into a green, prosperous, civilized, and modern province.

Nguyen Thi Tuyen, President of the VWU, emphasized that the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union must fully recognize its core role in women’s affairs – always placing its members and women at the center, upholding their legitimate rights and interests, and prioritizing women’s advancement as the ultimate goal. She noted that the consensus and support of women should serve as the key measure of the union’s effectiveness. Women’s unions at all levels must truly be a strong source of support and a safe home for every woman and every family.

In the new term, the unions are tasked with effectively implementing the campaign “Building 5-no, 3-clean, 3-safe Families”; fulfilling the responsibilities assigned under various governmental programs and projects; and developing practical community-care models and services, with particular attention given to specific groups such as young women, female workers, ethnic minority women, and women of religious communities. Additionally, they are to concretize and effectively carry out the emulation movement titled “Building the Vietnamese Women of the New Era,” while promoting the use of information technology and digital transformation in both union operations and women’s support activities.

Furthermore, the Provincial Women’s Union, together with the VFF and socio-political organizations, must enhance the quality of policy consultation, advocacy, supervision, and social feedback. A key priority is to build a cadre of union officials with strong political integrity, exemplary ethics, dedication to women’s work, solid professional competence, and scientific, grassroots-oriented working methods.

Harnessing the collective strength of women from all walks of life

Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, affirmed that throughout the past term, Dong Nai’s Party organization, authorities, and people have overcome numerous difficulties and challenges, achieving comprehensive and remarkable results across all fields. These achievements reflect the significant contributions of women’s unions at all levels and the collective strength of women throughout the province.

Following the provincial merger, Dong Nai now holds a strategic position in terms of economy and national defense-security, and is entering a new phase of development – larger in scale, stronger in capacity, and broader in growth potential. To realize the province’s development aspirations, unified resolve and collective effort from the entire Party organization, authorities, and people of Dong Nai are essential. Within this mission, the Provincial Women’s Union and women across the province must continue to uphold their proud traditions, proactively innovate, enhance their capabilities, and affirm their role across all areas of social life.

Ton Ngoc Hanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that the Women’s Union must strongly promote its functions and roles in participating in lawmaking, Party and government building, and strengthening the political system at all levels. She noted that supervisory and social-feedback activities must be deepened; the critical-thinking capacity and monitoring skills of union officials must be enhanced; and channels for receiving women’s opinions and aspirations must be diversified. The union must effectively serve as a bridge between its members and the Party and government. She further stressed the need to thoroughly internalize the Party’s viewpoints and goals regarding women’s affairs and gender equality. Union activities must be practical, effective, and far-reaching, clearly reflecting representativeness, mass character, and humanistic values, thereby ensuring that women can benefit from development achievements and have opportunities to exercise and develop their capabilities across all fields.

At the congress, the VWU Central Committee announced its decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union for the 2025-2030 tenure, comprising 49 members, along with the Standing Committee consisting of 15 members. The congress also announced the decision to designate 17 delegates to attend the 14th National Women’s Congress for the 2026–2031 tenure.

Women’s unions at all levels must pay special attention to building a strong, truly professional cadre of union officials, who possess firm political resolve, solid expertise, technological competence, and genuine dedication to their work. It is essential to boldly innovate operational methods across all areas so that the union becomes a center of cohesion, unleashing the collective strength of women from all walks of life. The unions must continue effectively implementing patriotic emulation movements in connection with local political tasks, while strengthening social welfare through practical programs, campaigns, and initiatives. They should mobilize and support women in economic development, entrepreneurship, and legitimate wealth creation, and promote digital transformation within the women’s community. In addition, particular attention must be given to women’s mental health, population maintenance and development, childrearing, and equipping women with essential skills for the digital era.

For Party committees across the province, it is essential to harness the strength of the female workforce by regularly reviewing, identifying, planning, training, appointing, and fostering female cadres. They must also create favorable conditions for the women’s unions at all levels to operate in a practical and effective manner, ensuring meaningful contributions to the province’s socio-economic development.
