Dong Nai province supports Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces to overcome consequences of natural disasters

On the morning of November 20, a delegation from Dong Nai province, led by Vu Hong Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, visited and supported the people of Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces in overcoming the damage caused by natural disasters, storms, and floods in the recent period.

In Ninh Binh province, the delegation was received by comrades: Dang Xuan Phong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mai Van Tuat, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Hoang Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Major General Nguyen Huu Manh, Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Police; Pham Duy Hung, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; leaders of the Provincial Military Command.

On behalf of the delegation, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Vu Hong Van expressed deep sympathy for the hardships and losses endured by the people in the North due to Typhoon No. 10, including those in Ninh Binh province. Vu Hong Van affirmed that the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Dong Nai always stand in solidarity with disaster-affected communities, guided by a spirit of unity, responsibility, and compassion.

He expressed confidence that with strong determination, Ninh Binh will overcome current challenges, stabilize livelihoods, and accelerate the recovery of production. He also wished Ninh Binh continued success in leveraging its strengths and potential, mobilizing all available resources to effectively implement the objectives set out in the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term, thereby making a positive contribution to the country’s overall development.

The delegation from Dong Nai province presented 5 billion VND to support Ninh Binh province in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, storms, and floods; at the same time, it presented 1 billion VND to support the families of police officers in the province and 500 million VND to support the families of officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government, and people of Ninh Binh province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dang Xuan Phong extended sincere thanks for the support and solidarity shown by the Party Committee, government, and people of Dong Nai toward Ninh Binh. Dang Xuan Phong emphasized that this is a noble gesture, reflecting the Vietnamese tradition of "mutual affection and solidarity." The support from Dong Nai will provide additional resources to help Ninh Binh recover from the damage caused by storms and whirlwinds.

Dang Xuan Phong shared that Typhoon No. 10 caused extensive damage in Ninh Binh province, with many houses collapsing or losing their roofs, nine people killed, large areas of crops submerged, and significant damage to infrastructure. However, thanks to the attention of Party and State leaders, the timely support of the Army and Public Security forces, as well as encouragement, solidarity, and assistance from other provinces, units, and businesses, along with the efforts of Ninh Binh province, the lives of affected residents have now largely stabilized while production is on the path to recovery.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Hoa province, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province, Trinh Tuan Sinh, provided a brief update to members of the working delegation from Dong Nai province on the damages caused by natural disasters and floods in Thanh Hoa, as well as ongoing recovery efforts. Trinh Tuan Sinh emphasized that the encouragement and support from Dong Nai province are meaningful and practical, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and sharing between localities, and contributing to Thanh Hoa’s efforts to quickly overcome the consequences and soon stabilize people's lives and restore production.
