Dong Xoai ward Youth Union holds first Congress

On October 26, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Xoai ward held first Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure.

The event was attended by Nguyen Minh Kien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai province and Secretary of the Dong Nai provincial Youth Union, along with leaders of the Ward’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, VFF Committee and 120 delegates representing more than 600 youth union members and young people in the ward.

During the 2022-2025 period, the Youth Union work and youth and children's movements in Dong Xoai ward achieved significant progress and basically fulfilled the targets and tasks set out in the resolution. Under the movements “Pioneering and volunteering for socio-economic development and national defence” and “Supporting youth in career development and entrepreneurship”, the ward’s Youth Union organised two training courses to equip youth with knowledge and skills on start-ups and introduced employment opportunities to more than 2,000 young people; built one “Compassion House”; planted 2,100 new trees; and delivered 580 gift packages to policy-beneficiary families and disadvantaged students. Voluntary blood donation drives were regularly maintained with the participation of 70 youth union members.

With the motto “Dong Xoai youth: Solidarity – Courage – Pioneer – Development”, the Congress set out 13 key targets for the 2025-2030 tenure. The ward’s Youth Union will continue reforming its content and operation methods, focus on building a strong organisation, promote its role as a political core in the youth and children affairs, and accompany the youth in career development and entrepreneurship and community building while contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolutions of the ward Party Congress and the first Youth Union Congress.

The Congress announced the decision of the Dong Nai provincial Youth Union on the appointment of the Executive Committee, the Standing Board, the Inspection Committee and key leadership positions for the new tenure. Pham Nguyen Minh Trinh was reappointed as Secretary of the Dong Xoai ward Youth Union for the 2025-2030 tenure.
