Dong Nai conducts preliminary review for 2025 regional defense exercise

On October 25 in Dong Nai, the Command of Regional Defense Area 4 - Binh Long, the Provincial Border Guard Command, and the Dong Nai Military Command held a preliminary review of the Regional Defense Area exercise. Major General Le Ngoc Hai, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 7, attended and oversaw the proceedings directly.

Participants in the review included Colonel Phung The Hung, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 7; Colonel Nguyen Hong Canh, Deputy Chief of the Political Department of Military Region 7; Colonel Le Chi Dung, Deputy Chief of the Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 7; Colonel Vo Thanh Danh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Commander of Dong Nai Provincial Military Command; Colonel Bui Dang Ninh, Provincial Party Committee Member and Political Commissar of Dong Nai Provincial Military Command; along with senior officials of the Dong Nai Provincial Police.

The preliminary review focused on key live-action drills, including dispersing crowds involved in disturbances, protests, and riots to restore political security and public order in Binh Long ward; defending the Loc Thinh Border Gate Border Guard Station against enemy attacks; and executing an infantry battalion assault maneuver. All activities were conducted in a coordinated manner, closely aligned with real combat scenarios, and met the set requirements with rigor and discipline.

In his remarks, Major General Le Ngoc Hai emphasized that all agencies and units must ensure absolute security and safety throughout the exercise. He instructed continued review and refinement of the exercise scenario, strengthened coordination among forces, and proper management of technical elements such as sound, lighting, transmission lines, display screens, and camera placement to facilitate live broadcast to the command post.

Major General Le Ngoc Hai emphasized the need to thoroughly address all shortcomings and deficiencies, ensure comprehensive preparation for the full-scale rehearsal, maintain absolute safety, and successfully fulfill the assigned tasks.
