For the contingent of writers and artists, those engaged in creative work in Dong Nai – this is not only an important political event but also a source of inspiration and motivation to express their faith, aspirations, and civic responsibility through their works.
Literature and arts accompany the cause of renewal
Looking back on the 2020-2025 period, literature and arts in Dong Nai have gradually affirmed their position in the spiritual life of the people. The Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association has brought together hundreds of members working in 10 professional fields: literature, music, fine arts, photography, theater, cinema, dance, folk art, literary criticism and theory, and young creativity. Many works have won provincial, regional, and national awards, contributing to promoting the image of a dynamic and compassionate Dong Nai to friends near and far.
Beyond aesthetic value, these works vividly reflect the province’s renovation efforts, the building of advanced new-style rural areas, the development of civilized urban spaces, the preservation of ethnic cultural heritage, and the safeguarding of national security and defense at the frontline of the country. Works such as the poetry collection “Be xep hinh dat nuoc” (“Child Builds the Nation with Blocks”) by young disabled poet Tran Huynh Quynh, or various public fine arts projects, have demonstrated the enduring vitality of art within the hearts of the people.
This close companionship has shaped the unique identity of Dong Nai’s art scene – closely tied to the province’s development – and reaffirmed its role in “building character, nurturing the soul, and fostering faith,” in accordance with the Party’s resolutions on culture and art.
Looking toward the Congress with faith and expectation
The 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term marks the beginning of a new journey with many goals and strategic solutions for Dong Nai’s rapid and sustainable development. With a strong sense of civic duty and artistic passion, the province’s writers and artists have been carrying out numerous activities in anticipation of this historic event.
The professional branches of the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association regularly organize creative camps, seminars, exhibitions, and art performances to encourage members to produce new works that praise the homeland and the nation, affirm the leadership of the Party, and reflect social life in all its diverse and authentic colors.
The spirit of looking toward the congress is also being spread through art performances, fine arts and photography exhibitions, book and magazine introductions, and the publication of the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Journal.
Many artists have openly expressed their hope that this congress will make practical decisions, continue to prioritize culture and the arts, and create favorable conditions for artistic creativity to thrive – worthy of the province’s rich cultural traditions.
Voices raised from creative practice
Young poet Tran Huynh Quynh, a member of the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association, shared: “We hope that the new-term Provincial Party Congress will continue to value the role of artists and writers in nurturing the moral and spiritual fabric of society. This is not only about creating art but also about building the image of a compassionate, creative, and globally connected Dong Nai.”
In the field of fine arts, painter Pham Cong Hoang, also a member of the association, said: “Dong Nai’s fine arts have seen steady growth in recent years. Alongside several established painters and sculptors, a new generation of young artists has gradually developed their own creative styles and earned recognition in the regional arts scene. Works by Dong Nai visual artists have been highly regarded by art experts in the region.”
Beyond paintings and sculptures exhibited in art shows, public art projects throughout the province have contributed to beautifying urban and rural spaces. Some monuments and memorial complexes such as the Memorial Area at Long Thanh Cemetery, the Bien Hoa Provincial Party Committee Monument (U1), and the sculpture garden at Tran Bien Park have not only become local landmarks but also serve as repositories of artistic value and history education for younger generations.
Propaganda posters, ceramic mosaic artworks, and outdoor reliefs created during provincial art campaigns and local festivals have also been well-received by audiences, bringing freshness and inspiration.
In music and theater, composers and stage directors alike agree: “Art must be the voice of the people – emerging from the people and serving the people.” More importantly, new works should aim to inspire pride and unity, encouraging the collective spirit to build a prosperous, civilized Dong Nai.
Expectations for a new journey
As the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress (2025–2030 term) approaches, many new works are being conceived. Poetry collections about new rural life and civilized cities; songs praising the creative spirit of workers in industrial zones; and photographs capturing the daily transformations of this land rich in revolutionary tradition.
Each work is like a flower, a spark contributing to the garden of Dong Nai’s arts, radiating faith in the leadership of the Provincial Party Organization. That faith is not only emotional but also expressed through action: tireless creativity, continuous artistic activities, close connection with grassroots movements, and bringing art closer to the people.
“On the eve of the congress, we hope that the provincial leaders will continue to support the fine arts sector – creating more opportunities for visual artists to produce and promote their works locally and regionally. Painters and sculptors should be encouraged to participate in provincial public art projects. A complete exhibition space should be established for visual arts (fine arts and photography) to host exhibitions and help bring visual art closer to the public, enriching the spiritual life of the people.”
— Painter Pham Cong Hoang, member of the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association, shared his expectations for the congress.
The 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, for the 2025–2030 term, marks a milestone in the province’s development journey. Artists and writers of Dong Nai hope that the congress will adopt appropriate policies for culture and the arts, making them a solid spiritual foundation and an intrinsic driving force for socio-economic growth.
Furthermore, attention and support for artists’ creative work will help unlock their potential, promote the role of the province’s cultural and artistic intellectuals, and elevate Dong Nai not only as a developed industrial province but also as a land rich in cultural identity and spiritual values.
As they look toward the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, for the 2025–2030 term, Dong Nai’s artists and writers carry within them faith and responsibility – the faith in the wise leadership of the Party Organization, and the responsibility of creators to help build a spiritually rich and healthy society.
Every work, every art performance, every creative activity carries a shared message: Dong Nai’s artists and writers will continue to walk side by side with the Provincial Party Organization and the people, joining hands to build a more prosperous, civilized, and modern homeland.
That is how Dong Nai’s literature and arts resonate with the spirit of the times, adding vibrant colors to the comprehensive development picture of the province in this new chapter.
