(ĐN) - After nearly three days of working in an urgent and serious spirit, the 11th Party Congress of Military Region 7, for the 2025-2030 term, concluded successfully on August 15.

The congress successfully completed all programs and agendas as planned. Delegates discussed and contributed ideas to the political report, the review report of the Party Committee of the Military Region for the 2020-2025 term, and the draft Action Program for implementing the resolution of the congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Delegates upheld a high sense of responsibility, solidarity, and collective wisdom, engaging in active discussions and contributing profound and practical ideas, especially proposing many solutions closely aligned with the realities of officers and soldiers in the armed forces, such as leadership and direction in improving training quality, combat readiness, building regularity, and strengthening discipline.
With the spirit of “Solidarity, Democracy, Discipline, Dynamism, Creativity, and Development,” the congress elected the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Military Region 7 for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 20 members (with one vacancy). All key leaders of the Military Region received a high level of confidence votes.

At the first session, the Executive Committee elected the Standing Board of the Party Committee, consisting of six members. Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc, Political Commissar of Military Region 7, was elected Secretary of the Party Committee of Military Region 7 for the 2025-2030 term. Major General Le Xuan The, Commander of Military Region 7, was elected Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Military Region 7 for the 2025-2030 term.
In his closing speech, Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Military Region 7, affirmed: The success of the congress marks a favorable beginning for the entire Party Committee and armed forces of the Military Region to unite as one, fully harness overall strength, maximize all resources, and effectively implement the directions, objectives, targets, breakthroughs, and solutions of the 2025-2030 term. He stressed the determination to enhance the strength of the all-people national defense and the all-people border defense posture, closely linking the all-people national defense posture with the people’s security posture, building strong defensive zones, thereby making an important contribution to firmly safeguarding the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Fatherland, and maintaining peace and stability for socio-economic development in the strategic southern region of the country.
The congress elected a 14-member delegation to attend the 12th Party Congress of the Vietnam People’s Army for the 2025-2030 term scheduled to be convened in the near future.
