The 12th session of the 14th National Assembly Standing Committee opened in Hanoi on July 11.
NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan told the committee that the session will last one and a half days, focusing on the outcomes of the 14th legislature’s 3rd session which took place from May 22 to June 21.
The committee will also discuss preparations for the fourth NA session in October, the ratification of Protocol 7 on the customs transit system under the ASEAN Framework Agreement in order to facilitate the transit of goods in Vietnam, and policies for public servants and labourers working in the Institute for Legislative Studies.
According to her, from this session, the NA Standing Committee will begin its meeting on the tenth day of each month, except in case it coincides with holidays or other major events. Each meeting will not last for more than 7 days.
