Dong Nai ready for election day

The meeting was attended by Chairman Tran Van Tu and Vice Chairman Pham Ngoc Tuan of the provincial People’s Council, Chairman Huynh Van Toi of Fatherland Front Committee, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Hoa Hiep of People’s Committee, and Director Nguyen Van Thuoc of Department of Home Affairs.

Dong Nai is ready for the election day slated for May 22, Director Nguyen Van Thuoc said at the meeting. Accordinly, Dong Nai's localities have made thorough and comprehensive preparations for the election.

According to statistics, 29 provincial election committees, 107 district election committees and 1,242 communal election committees have been formed in the province.

Dong Nai has 16 candidates running for parliamentary seats, 146 for the provincial People’s Council, 702 for the district People’s Councils and 8,470 for the communal People’s Councils.

The province will continue with preparations for the election day while increasing public communications campaigns, holding candidate-voter meetings and enhancing measures to ensure security and order.
