Politburo members Truong Hoa Binh, Vo Van Thuong and Vuong Dinh Hue in addition to Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Ba Ty met with voters in Long An, Dong Nai, Ha Tinh and Ninh Thuan respectively on May 12 on the thresholds of the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils for the 2016-2021 tenure.
Politburo members Truong Hoa Binh, Vo Van Thuong and Vuong Dinh Hue in addition to Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Ba Ty met with voters in Long An, Dong Nai, Ha Tinh and Ninh Thuan respectively on May 12 on the thresholds of the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2016-2021 tenure.
During the meetings, candidates presented their proposed action plans to resolve issues drawing concerns of local residents if they are elected.

In a meeting held on May 12 with voters in Thanh Duc commune, Ben Luc district and An Ninh Dong commune in Duc Hoa district, Long An province, Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh affirmed that the Government will monitor localities to realise the 12th Party Congress’ resolution and other decisions by the NA and the Government; as well as implement tasks in socio-economic development, national security and defence and external affairs; resolutely protect national sovereignty over sea and islands; and strive to develop the country fast and sustainably.
Between May 9-12, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Education and Information Vo Van Thuong and four candidates of the Election Unit No.1 of Dong Nai province had meetings with voters in Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts.
During the meetings, the majority of voters valued action plans of the candidates and expected them to realise the plans if being elected in order to effectively implement health care policies, resolve environmental pollution caused by plants and industrial zones, care for workers from rural areas and address pending projects and plans.
On behalf of the candidates, Thuong promised to address the matters raised and stressed that in any position they will do their best to fulfill tasks entrusted by the Party and the State.
Also from May 9-12, Politburo member and Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue, together with other four candidates of the Election Unit No. 1 of Ha Tinh province, met with voters in Ky Anh, Cam Xuyen and Huong Khe districts and Ky Anh town.
The candidates expressed their desire to be elected in order to make contributions to common causes of the country, the province and the districts, saying that if elected, they will ensure a closeness with voters in order to comprehend their ideas and suggestions.
Hue promised to work with the Government, ministries and agencies to build a transparent and eligible government, which upholds legal conformity and working for the people and businesses.
On May 12, a delegation from the National Election Council (NEC) headed by PCC member, NA Vice Chairman and NEC member Do Ba Ty examined preparations for the election in Ninh Thuan province.
Ty praised the province’s preparations and asked local authorities to ensure safety for the election.
From May 5-12, candidates of the Election Unit No.4 of Nghe An province, including PCC member and State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc and four other local officials, had meetings with voters in Vinh city and Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan and Hung Nguyen districts.
Phoc committed to taking drastic measures to strengthen the audit sector and improving the effectiveness of corruption prevention through audit activities.
By May 12, the Nam Dinh provincial Fatherland Front completed the organisation of meetings between the province’s 15 candidates and voters.
