Vietnamese top legislator to visit China

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung will lead a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese legislature to pay an official visit to China on December 23-27.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung will lead a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese legislature to pay an official visit to China on December 23-27.

The visit is made at the invitation of Chairman of the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress Zhang Dejiang.

Vietnam and China established diplomatic ties in 1950 and since then the bilateral relations have thrived across the fields.

In 2014, two-way trade between Vietnam and China reached 58.5 billion USD, up 16 percent against the previous year. Vietnam was the second biggest trade partner of China in ASEAN, while China was the ninth largest foreign investor in Vietnam with a total registered capital of 7.9 billion USD.
