* A television show, highlighting President Ho Chi Minh's patriotism, desire for peace, strong will and readiness to sacrifice for the dream of liberating Vietnam from colonialism, was broadcast live from Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi and Kim Lien Village in the Central province of Nghe An, where the President was born, on May 18 night.

It included talks among domestic and foreign researchers, war veterans as well as recorded meeting with scholars from Britain and France. The participants also enjoyed songs and dances in the praise of the late President during the show.
* On May 18th, General Tran Dai Quang, Minister of Public Security, chaired a conference to review the achievements of implementing the Politburo’s Instruction No.3 on promoting the movement to learn and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example in the people's police force.
* The Ho Chi Minh Museum is running an exhibition to introduce 79 outstanding masterpieces, symbolizing President Ho Chi Minh’s 79 years of life, until the end of this month.
The late President’s image is portrayed through paintings, sculptures, poetry and music by international and domestic artists, featuring his life and revolutionary career.
* An exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh, who founded Vietnam’s revolutionary press, is being organized at the headquarters of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association in Hanoi from May 18th to 21st.
The event exhibits hundreds of photos, materials and objects from his press activities, many of which are being exhibited for the first time, including a collection of 48 photos of his meetings with foreign journalists and his image on foreign cover pages.
* Delegates at an exchange “Uncle Ho with soldiers”, held by the Military Library and Department of Politics under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, listened to moving stories of President Ho Chi Minh’s example recounted by historians and senior revolutionaries, and enjoyed artistic performances in the praise of the Party and the late President.
* At a ceremony to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s 125th birth anniversary in Dong Nai province, local authorities and people reminisced about his great contributions to the national revolutionary cause, and promised to continuously protect the national territorial integrity.
* Troops of Division 372 of the Air Defence and Air Force Service on May 18th reported their accomplishments to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Museum’s Military Zone 5 branch.
