VN elected as rapporteur to UN legal committee

Pham Quang Hieu, Counsellor of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN) was elected as rapporteur to the UN’ sixth (Legal) Committee at the recent 67 th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. 

 

Pham Quang Hieu, Counsellor of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN) was elected as rapporteur to the UN’ sixth (Legal) Committee at the recent 67 th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. 

As an Asian representative, Hieu will engage in dealing with legal issues like collecting and making reports, as well as submitting draft Resolutions to the UN General Assembly for approval. 

It is expected to help Vietnam take part in international activities at the UN forums and the sixth Committee in particular in a more active and effective manner.
