The Provincial Police Department held a ceremony to present the MPS’s certificates of merit to senior lieutenant-colonel Luong Dai Thuy and lieutenant-colonel Tran Thi Ngoc Thuan, Deputy Head and Head respectively, of the provincial Environmental Police Department in Dong Nai province on May 25.
The awards are to acknowledge and honour the achievements of the two police officers in investigating and discovering the environmental crimes of Vedan Vietnam, a producer of monosodium glutamate and animal feed who discharged untreated wastewater into the environment.
On the same day, Xuan Hoa Commune Police in Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province was awarded the Provincial People’s Committee’s Excellent Emulation Flag in recognition of their outstanding achievements in mobilising people to fight crime and ensure national security in 2010.
