Long Khanh celebrates 36th liberation anniversary

(ĐN)- Long Khanh town organised a solemn meeting on April 21 to celebrate 36 years of its liberation.

(ĐN)- Long Khanh town organised a solemn meeting on April 21 to celebrate 36 years of its liberation. 

Positive changes have been made in Long Khanh’s socio-economic development over the past 36 years. 36 years after its liberation, Long Khanh has recorded rapid and stable economic growth through the shifting of its economic structure towards industrialization and modernization. The town has exerted its efforts to achieve a GDP growth rate of 15 per cent per annum over the 2005-2010 period. Of which, industry-construction increased 16.8 per cent, services up 17.7 per cent and agriculture, 5.5 per cent. The local living standard has improved considerably, with the average per capita income reaching over VND29 million in 2010 and expected to reach VND 35 million in 2011. Long Khanh is striving to become a third-grade urban area in 2015.
