(ĐN)- Xuan Loc district’s Study Encouragement Association on March 19 held its third congress for the 2011-2015 term.
The association has so far established 350 branches with more than 22,275 members. In the past term, the association and its branches raised nearly VND6 billion to help poor students across the province.
Particularly, the association provided annual awards to more than 60,000 teachers and students for their achievements in teaching and studying, granted over 5,000 scholarships to outstanding students, presented 191 bicycles and 62,000 notebooks to poor students.
The congress elected a new executive board of 31 members. Mr. Pham Van Huan was re-elected as Chairman of the Association for 2011-2015 term.
