Nearly VND5 billion raised to help AO victims

(ĐN)- Dong Nai province’s AO/Dioxin Victims Association held a meeting on March 15 to review its activities in 2010 and set task for 2011.

In 2010, the association raised nearly VND5 billion to help AO victims across the province. Particularly, the association presented gifts, built and repaired houses for the victims, provided scholarships to their children, offered financial support for the victims, helping them develop production and stabilize their life. In addition, the association built a rehabilitation centre for AO victims in Dinh Quan district.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Vietnam AO/Dioxin Victims Association Tran Ngoc Tho stressed that the association should continue to pay special attention to take care of the victims, cooperate tightly with its grassroots units to raise more fund for AO victims, help them to overcome difficulties.

On this occasion, 12 collectives and 10 individuals were honored for their efforts to help AO victims.
