Nearly 20 fire fighters were dispatched for a reported house fire in the 5B residental quarter at 4:15 p.m.
A woman escaped the fire and suffered a broken leg but her husband suffered serious burns in the fire. They were brought to the hospital.
It took about 15 minutes for firefighters to bring the flames under control.
The fire completely destroyed the house and damaged another neighboring house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
