(ĐN)- Dong Nai Journalist Association on Jan 28 inaugurated the Tan Mao (Cat) Spring Newspaper Festival to introduce spring-time publications during the days preceding Tet. Head of Dong Nai provincial Department of Propaganda and Training Huynh Van Toi and representatives of press agencies were present at the opening ceremony of the festival.

The festival showcases more than 400 spring newspaper publications from press agencies inside and outside provinces. In addition to cultural and ethnic features, the spring publications contain profound comments on changes, and the efforts of people in all social issues during 2010. Leaders and citizens also convey their messages of determination, and their hopes, in papers and magazines during this time of year.
At the inauguration ceremony the organizers granted certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 8 individuals for their outstanding publications from last year. The annual festival has become a large cultural event for the newspaper industry and local residents on Tet holidays.
