The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Dang Huy Dong, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Dinh Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong and other leaders.
Sonadezi is operating 15 industrial parks and complexes in Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces, ten of them having been leased out to investors to set up shop; these industrial parks are 35 to 40% full.
Among developers of more than 250 industrial parks nationwide, Sonadezi is considered one of the most successful developer in attracting capital and technology.
Operational industrial parks have so far attracted 535 projects with total pledged capital of some US$6.6bil. More than half of the projects are foreign-invested ones with pledged capital of US$6bil and the rest are local ones capitalized at more than VND12,000 bil (US$571 mil).
Over the past years, Sonadezi’s industrial parks provided jobs to 181,000 laborers and contributed 35% to the provinces GDP.
Established in 1990 with an initial capital of VND58 mil, Sonadezi is now a one member limited liability company with a chartered capital of VND1,700 billion.
The company’s annual turnover and profit increased 10% and 36% on average, respectively.
