(ĐN)- Dinh Quan district’s People’s Committee on Wednesday held a ceremony to inaugurate a Cultural House for Chau Ma Ethnic Group in Hiep Nghia hamlet, Dinh Quan townlet. The ceremony saw the presence of Head of Dong Nai provincial Department of Propaganda and Training Huynh Van Toi, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien and Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga.

Construction of the Cultural House started in March, 2010 at a cost of over VND 3.4 billion funded by the provincial budget. The project covers an area of more than 4,7000 s.q.m and includes a 378 s.q.m hall with capacity of 250 seats and auxiliary facilities. The Cultural House is designed to preserve traditional culture of Chau Ma Ethnic Group.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Van Toi stressed the need to display objects featuring all aspects of life activities, and habits of Chau Ma Ethnic Group at the Cultural House to help the efforts to preserve Chau Ma’s cultural values.
