Dong Nai’s first public university established

(ĐN) – Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony on Nov 20 to announce the Prime Ministers decision on the establishment of Dong Nai University.

The ceremony was attended by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, representatives from Ministry of Education and Training, leaders of related departments and agencies.

Dong Nai University was established on the basis of upgrading Dong Nai Teachers Colleges in Tan Hiep ward, Bien Hoa city. This is the first public university in the province.

The university now has 40 classrooms, equiped with modern teaching aids, and 240 teachers, including three doctors and 90 masters.

It has eight faculties including Mathematics, Philology, Chemistry, Physics, English, Information Technology, Accounting and Business Administration.

The university is planing to build two new branches in Tan Hiep and Trang Dai wards with a total cost of around VND700 billion.
