(ĐN)- The award ceremony of the National Film Festival 2010 on Traffic Safety under the theme “The Dangers of Drinking and Driving” took place in Hanoi on November 24.

Five gold medals went to the films ‘Noi Dau Con Do’ (The Pain Remains), ‘Gia Nhu’ (If Only), ‘Hai Noi Dau’ (Double Pain), ‘Tai Nan Giao Thong o Ha Giang – Thuc Trang va Giai Phap’ (Accidents in Ha Giang province – Situation and Solutions) and ‘Niem Vui Khong Tron Ven’ (The Incomplete Happiness) by producers from Traffic Safety Departments of Bac Ninh, Dong Nai, Quang Ninh, Ha Giang and Dak Lak provinces, respectively.
The organizing board also awarded 10 silver medals and 15 bronze medals to wininng works. Dong Nai province was among the bronze winners.
The film festival attracted 124 film entries from 52 cities and provinces throughout the country in five categories: reportage, documentary, science and education, short film, and musicals.
The event, co-organised by the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Department of Rail and Road Traffic Police under the Ministry of Public Security, aims to diversify methods of raising people’s awareness of traffic safety and propose solutions for urgent problems such as traffic jams and the increasing number of accidents.
