According to the report of the provincial People’s Committee, Dong Nai’s socio-economic situation in 2010 shows more stable and positive growth. This year, Dong Nai is expected to reach a gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate at 13.5% and register an export turnover of US$7.1 billion, a 20.5 percent year-on-year rise. Many socio-economic targets were fulfilled and surpassed in 2010.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Vo Van Mot stressed the challenges and the shortcomings in high input material prices, electricity supply shortages, site clearance and resettlement, unfavorable weather conditions in Dong Nai and asked provincial localities to do their best to boost socio-economic development, reinforce administrative reform to attract more investors, combat corruption and maintain security and social order.
Chairman also suggested relevant departments and agencies to take specific measures to ensure the timely progress of the provinces key traffic projects, Dong Nai general hospital, agricultural projects, and others.
