The Dong Nai Health Department has asked districts, Long Khanh town and Bien Hoa city to intensify propaganda activities and disseminate knowledge about HIV/AIDS during the month.
A talk about medical examination and outpatient treatment for HIV-infected people will be held in Dong Nai on November 17. The event organized by the Provincial Health Department will be will be broadcast live on Dong Nai Radio and television. Another talk on the national action month for HIV/AIDS prevention and control will be held in Dong Nai on November 26. A meeting and parade will be held in the province on November 28.
By October 2010, the total number of people infected with HIV in Dong Nai has reached 5,435, including 2,015 developed to full-blown AIDS. 1,320 people have died of the disease.
