(ĐN)- On Oct 10, localities in the province held meetings to mark the 80th year of the Partys Mass Mobilisation Campaign (Oct 15,1930 - 2010). On this occasion, the “Day for the People” campaign was launched across the province with main activities, such as upgrading rural traffic roads, cleaning up environment, visiting and presenting gifts to policy families, building and repairing houses for the poor, etc.

In Xuan Loc, the district Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation granted more than 400 gifts to policy families, poor households and single elderly people in Xuan Phu commune; gave 10 bicycles to studious poor students; build two charitable houses. Besides, the district’s Fatherland Front Committee handed over 25 charity houses to difficult families across the district.
In Trang Bom, the district’s localities also called on organizations and individuals to strengthen mass mobilisation work, clean up environment, provide 800 gifts totaling VND120 million to workers and households in especially difficult circumstances in the district.
In Vinh Cuu, Thanh Phu commune’s Party Committee cooperated with the 75th Artillery Brigade to construct two gratitude houses for policy families, handed over a charity house, coordinated with Changshin VN to help local people to collect waste and clean roads, built asphalted inter-village. On this occasion, Dong Nai Customs Department presented 200 gifts to poor workers.

In respond to the campaign “Day for the People”, nearly 800 officials and students of the Infantry Officers’ Training College No. 2 helped people in Bien Hoa city’s Tam Phuoc and Phuoc Tan communes and Trang Bom district’s An Vien commune to repair 13 km of inter-village roads, dredged two km of canals, etc. The college also gave 11 gifts to policy families.
