Additional 10,000 pigs get blue-ear shots

(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai Veterinary Branch, additional 10,000 doses of vaccine against blue-ear disease have been delivered to the province. Accordingly, the branch will continue to experiment on pig farms in Vinh Thanh commune, Nhon Trach district to test the effectiveness of the vaccine.

Earlier, the branch has vaccinated pigs in Cam My district’s Thua Duc and Xuan Que communes and Phu Son pig farm. As a result, infected pigs in localities are reported to be recovering.

As known, Chinese-made blue-ear vaccine is the latest of its kind with 70% effectiveness against the disease.
