(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Vinh asked local authorities of Trang Bom district and Bien Hoa city and the Cuong Thuan IDICO Development Investment Corporation to speed up site clearance for Bien Hoa city bypass session of national highway 1A project.
Vinh made the request during a meeting on Wednesday to discuss construction progress of Bien Hoa city bypass session of national highway 1A project.
Also at the meeting, the provincial leader urged the investor to accelerate the construction two resettlement areas for families displaced by the project.
More than 100 families will have to be resettled to make way for building a new section of National Highway 1A that bypasses Bien Hoa city. Under the plan, the affected families will be moved to Phuoc Tan and Binh Minh resettlement areas in Bien Hoa city and Trang Bom district, respectively.
The investor has been urged to complete the construction of resettlement areas for families displaced by the project by late 2010.
