Provincial leader urges relevant agencies to speed up site clearance to serve the HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay highway

Vinh made the request during a meeting with relevant agencies on Friday to discuss the construction of the HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay highway project.

According to the Project Management Board, more than 1,000 local families have to move to make way for the construction project but 992 affected families have so far moved out the site project or only 95.27% of land have been cleared.

The third bidding package is under construction and undertaken by Posco E&C of the Republic of Korea. The HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay highway has a total length of 55 km with eight lanes. It is expected to promote socio-economic development and create opportunities for localities in the South-East region to exploit their strength after it open to traffic in 2012.
