TABMIS is the cornerstone of the Vietnamese Government’s financial management reform plan, as it will integrate and centralise the financial management systems into a single information system to improve the transparency and accountability of public financial management.
This is one of the Ministry of Finance’s projects to implement a financial reform programme in the 2001-2010 period.
The project aims to strengthen the Ministry of Finance’s budget and financial management capability from the planning to budget allocation stages. The TABMIS project will help the ministry strengthen its reporting and accountability, budget preparation and public debt management.
The new system will link the central State Treasury to 64 provincial and over 600 district treasury offices and will also connect to various ministries to support the efficient use of resources and drive a sustainable growth strategy.
