Currently, there is a shortfall of about 20,000 workers in local Taiwanese businesses, mainly low skill jobs. Thus, Dong Nai branch of the Taiwanese Business Association in Vietnam is seeking help from local authorities and relevant agencies for recruiting labourers. As known, the minimum wage of Vietnamese laborers working in Taiwanese-invested businesses in Dong Nai is VND 1.3 million per month. Accordingly, workers at local Taiwanese firms can take monthly salaries including allowances ranging from VND 1.8 million to VND 2 million.
At present, local Taiwanese businesses target their recruiting efforts toward other provinces including Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan. Most of them vowed to charge transportation fees to job seekers from their home provinces to Dong Nai.
