(ĐN)- Dong Nai province Blind People’s Association has just held a conference to review the five-year patriotic emulation movement in 2005-2009 period.
In the past five years, the association admitted hundreds of new members, bringing the number of its members to more than 1,202. The association also provided vocational training courses, create jobs and offered loans worth a total of more than VND4 billion for its members. Besides, the association raised VND3.5 billion to help its members and other poor blind people to overcome difficulties and stabilize life.
At the conference, the provincial People’s Committee and the association awarded certificates of merit to 52 individuals who had actively participated in patriotic emulation movements in this period.
